This is the AirDog® II-5G DF-165-5G fuel system for the 2004.5-2018 Dodge Ram Common Rail Cummins. This diesel lift pump mounts to the frame rail using the supplied sandwich plate mounting system. A Fuel Module Upgrade Kit is installed in the factory fuel basket to pull fuel through a factory-style 1/2" bulkhead fitting. This will bypass the factory in-tank lift pump. The pressure side connects directly into the side of the injection pump, bypassing the factory fuel filter housing. The AirDog® Air/Vapor return is sent back to the tank through the factory 3/8” suction line once the module is modified. This is a 165GPH (Gallon Per Hour) lift pump system for moderately modified trucks. Check out our installation manual for a list of parts that are included with this kit.

Standard kit + Sump

The PureFlow AirDog® universal fuel sump helps aid aftermarket fuel systems by utilizing gravity to pull fuel from the tank. Our redesigned sump has both a suction and return port! We integrated a dual o-ring seal to prevent leaks! The installation of our fuel sump eliminates the common 1/4 tank suction issue associated with a draw straw-style fuel pickup. This sump is manufactured in America using corrosion resistant components.

Our Take:

Airdog is the only way we will go on our personal commonrail trucks. We rely on them to get the race trucks to the track that we also run Airdogs on. From anything between stock horsepower and 1000hp the Airdog 5G 165 is the pump for you! For the most ease of install, you will want to utilize a sump on the bottom of the tank.
