THIS IS A MADE TO ORDER PRODUCT. ONCE ORDER IS PLACED, ALLOW 5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR KIT TO BE MADE TAILORED TO YOUR TRUCK
In the Order Notes when you get to your cart you HAVE to fill out details about your setup. I need to know where you are going to mount your switch, whether thats in the head 1/8" NPT port or in your intake horn, or in a grid heater delete piece. If I dont know this I dont know how long to make your harness. If you want it set any higher than 20psi please specify and specify why.
This kit is an adjustable pressure switch that senses boost pressure to activate your factory intercooled KSB. This simply plugs in on your factory spade connector on the FSS and the other wire connects to the spade on your KSB. This switch is adjustable because it needs to be set according to your setup, you do not want this switch to send power if you are "under the turbo" or "not on boost" or "not on the charger", there are plenty of ways to say this but the turbo needs to be fully lit before it powers the KSB. When you give the KSB power it advances the injection timing, and if you do that while the turbo is still spooling there is a very large chance of blowing your head gasket if you don't have the right hardware already installed to hold the head down. A good conservative number is 20psi which is what they all come preset at.
IF YOU HAVE A NON IC PUMP PLEASE READ: This kit can NOT be used with a Non IC KSB as they operate differently. You need to purchase an Intercooled KSB and swap it onto your Non IC pump and then install this kit.
Why do I need this? If you have watched my "VE Pumps" video series on Youtube you will know that an intercooled KSB when manipulated with 12 volt power can add serious peak horsepower as well as horsepower at higher rpms! On average we see a peak 50hp increase on a conservative setup, and if the stars align with a larger setup we typically see 75-90hp gain at peak and 120-200hp gain at 33-3500rpm on the larger setups. This is not an exaggeration of any sort, we have proved this in our dyno testing plenty of times now and is exactly why we require it to make any big power.
Loosening will lower the required boost pressure needed to power the KSB on, Tightening will raise the required boost pressure needed to power the KSB on. Its adjusted by 1/8" Allen head
