This LVLP (Low Volume Low Pressure) Small bore lift pump is a 2nd Gen based lift pump that has been retrofitted with the proper spring to supply a safe 15psi to your VE injection pump that will support majority of first gen owners horsepower desires. This is the Base "Budget" kit with no add-ons besides what is pictured. If this does not say "SOLD OUT" then I have these kits ON HAND. I am not a 3rd party drop shipper that has to wait to get them, these will ship within 1 business day of your order.
At what power level do you need to upgrade your factory diaphragm lift pump? Here is my conclusion of that. My stock injector truck with all of the pump mods from Ratman Performance along with the pump turned up and a stock HX35 made 281hp, it ran great BUT as soon as I came off idle the factory diaphragm pump would go from 4psi to 0psi immediately. While there was still volume there to make the horsepower there was already no pressure even with only stock injectors, this puts a lot of stress on the vane pump inside of your VE and risks it seizing. With all of this being said this pump is absolutely a requirement for anything larger than a stock injector. BUT it is also great insurance on a truck just with stock injectors.
Next most asked question.. How much power can this lift pump support? Our best very conservative guess is 400hp, I would expect 450hp to not be an issue at all.
"Gavin, why is this lift pump cheaper than the HVLP they look the same.". Although they do look identical from the outside they are not, the only reason this one is cheaper is because my input cost is cheaper. The pump and spring itself are more readily available therefore cheaper to buy.
